Santa Joán, a developing city deep within the enchanted rainforest, holds an intricate ecosystem of mystical creatures and humans alike. Astronomer and missionary soldier, Alejandro Salvador, is a dedicated scholar and fiercely loyal to the commander of the Santa Joán military, Domingo Cruz. In his unending search for the truth, Alejandro encounters the mysterious, winged Jijis, of the Monaficen, bird-like creatures who inhabited the rainforest long before humans. Beneath a starry night sky, Alejandro discovers that for all of his life, what he has been taught about the universe was all wrong. After Jijis unintentionally exposes the truth of the stars beyond theirs’, and Alejandro’s doubts are discovered in his open notebook, Jijis is forced to make a choice on whether to try and bridge the long-standing gap between Monaficen and Human, or escape the vengeful wrath that’s to come.
